Acellus Academy’s online middle school program is designed to build on the foundational skills students developed in elementary school. The curriculum includes core subjects such as mathematics, language arts and reading, science, history and social studies, as well as health and physical education.
Acellus Academy’s high school program allows students to graduate with a diploma from an accredited online school. Each student has access to self-paced courses, engaging video lessons, and personalized instruction. Acellus Academy offers two different graduation pathways: standard and honors.

Every student receives their own login to access the Acellus platform. Once signed in, they’ll land on a personal dashboard that shows all of their current classes. With just one click, they can jump right into where they left off in each course… no guesswork, no confusion, just straightforward learning.
Every lesson begins with a short, focused video where a master teacher explains one key concept at a time. These videos are designed to be clear and engaging, helping students learn independently and build confidence as they go. It’s a great way to keep learning moving forward without requiring constant hands-on teaching from a parent.
After each video lesson, students complete practice problems to apply what they’ve just learned. The Acellus system checks their understanding every step of the way, making sure they’ve truly grasped each concept before moving on. This built-in support helps students feel confident and stay on track in every subject.
If a learner gets stuck or doesn’t quite understand a concept the first time, no worries. Acellus automatically offers extra help videos. These videos break things down even further and walk through similar problems step-by-step, giving students the support they need to keep moving forward without feeling frustrated.
At the end of each unit, students complete a review to help them prepare for the unit exam. They can go back and rewatch lesson videos or look over their digital textbook as much as they need. It’s a great way to refresh what they’ve learned and feel confident before taking the test.
Parents can set weekly goals for each course to help their child stay on pace throughout the year. Students can easily see their progress right on their dashboard, which helps them stay motivated and take ownership of their learning.
Sometimes when a student struggles, it’s because they missed a key concept from earlier learning. Acellus uses something called Vectored Instruction® to find those gaps and automatically provide extra lessons to help fill them in. The Acellus Writing Tutor® is designed to tutor students as they write, giving immediate feedback on grammar, spelling, vocabulary, and even writing style.
